The application can only be purchased through the Internet as a download.
My friend wanted to know if she could purchase the software license, download it to her computer and then burn the installation icon to a CD or a thumb drive and give it to her friend in that format.
The answer is maybe, but probably not. The primary problem is that software registration is usually tied to an email address -- it's often
impossible to register different email addresses for payment and user.
Your safest bet, and one you can complete right up to Christmas Eve, is to buy a Visa Gift Card for the exact amount of the software and present it in a card along with the name of the software you are gifting and the URL for the download.
You, of course, can use this same method to gift iPhone applications. You can buy iTunes gift cards at Apple stores for as little as $10 each, or you can buy the Visa Gift Card which can be applied to the users account for purchases.

as a .PDF document. If the person sent a Word document from
a Windows computer ask them to send the document again as
a Rich Text Format (RFT) file.
2. Save the document to your desktop and see if you can open it
from there.
3. If you receive a file as an attachment but you expect to see it
displayed within the text, check the file type. A .PDF file that
contains a single page appears within the body of the e-mail
message. A multipage .PDF document appears as an
attachment.
4. If you are using Mail, choose Mail > Preferences > Viewing.
Click “Display remote images in HTML messages”.
5. Try forwarding, redirecting, or sending the message to yourself
again.

It will hold any laptop computer up to 17”, and provides a 12 degree keyboard angle when open. It is easy to use and very sturdy, although it is also flexible. A cloth carrying bag is included.
